That 1935 National Chicle Bronko Nagurski graded PSA 5 purchased among the find of 10 that was sold on Wednesday through a small auction house in PA is already on eBay.

In the world of current sports cards, the word is Superfractor. The 1/1 cards from Topps have become the modern holy grail for fans of the company’s products. We’re told the Andrew Luck autographed Superfractor you see at left was pulled from the Baseball Card King store in Oak Lawn, IL during one of their recent promotional events.
According to our source, the collector who pulled it wasn’t all that crazy about football cards and opted to trade it for a couple thousand dollars in cash and other items that he did collect. Over the weekend, the card sold on eBay for $19,800.
The winning bid seems legitimate so we’ll see where it winds up—and hopefully the seller will get paid.
The Yasiel Puig Bowman Chrome Autographed Rookie 1/1 SuperFractor graded BGS 9.5 will be the top chase card in the Rookies and Phenoms Super Box, a re-pack product produced by Sbaycards from Lomita, CA. The company purchased the card a few weeks ago. It had been offered on eBay for $25,000 and received several offers before being sold to Sbay.
Original graded and ungraded vintage cards, memorabilia cards and sketch cards will be randomly inserted in the mix as well including Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Jackie Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Roberto Clemente, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Roger Maris, Sandy Koufax, Satchel Paige, Nolan Ryan, and others from the 1930′s to the 1970′s.
The product is set to release this week.
Sbaycards.com has produced The Super Box, for 16 straight years.
Meanwhile, the only 1967-68 Topps Bobby Orr card to ever garner a PSA 10 rating was offered for $24,999 but ended without a sale.
Speaking of Orr, he has a new book out and was in a Framingham, MA book store signing it recently. Orr is pretty private so you won’t see him on the card show circuit.
We received our auction catalogs from Heritage late last week. Approximate weight? Had to have been about 10 pounds. There’s a catalog dedicated to the Stan Musial auction, which we’ve written about. Here’s a story that appeared over the weekend in the St. Louis paper, focusing on some of the more personal items in the auction.
