New York Baseball’s Glory Days on Exhibit

Three teams. Plenty of stars. Lots of championships. Baseball in the Big Apple was a big deal from 1947-57. A new exhibit shows off some rare and quirky memorabilia.

If you’ve ever wondered how baseball dominated the sports scene in post-War America, look no further than New York. The city was brimming with baseball pride and today’s sports card and memorabilia hobby owes much to that era.

Now, a new exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York brings it all back.
