Allen & Ginter-sized cards of past Super Bowl players will follow last year’s initial release as eTopps cranks up the presses.
Topps has announced the next installment of its Allen & Ginter Super Bowl Champions collection.
The first six cards were issued last year, prior to Super Bowl XLII in Phoenix. Although most Allen & Ginter products have been baseball focused, the Super Bowl Champions series proved pretty popular last year and included Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw, John Elway, Joe Namath, Joe Montana and Roger Staubach. Less than 1,000 of each were produced.
Cards from the new collection will be available Monday, January 19th at 1PM EST with additional cards released on Monday, January 26th. The group will include Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, Tom Landry, Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Tony Dorsett and Walter Payton. Cards will be offered individually, encased and be sequentially numbered.
Each card will be encased in our standard eTopps tamper-evident plastic case with the eTopps sticker. The cards will be placed into a fitted frame and then fixed inside of the case.
A program started in the 1990s, there are currently almost 2,000 eTopps cards currently listed on eBay.
