Topps Stadium Club Returns With Ruth, Cobb, Etc.

After a five-year hiatus, Topps has announced the return of the Stadium Club Baseball brand with ten Hall of Famers set to appear as base cards. Included will be cards of Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Ty Cobb, Joe DiMaggio, Honus Wagner, Nolan Ryan, Roberto Clemente, Ted Williams and Tom Seaver.

Originating in 1991, the TSC brand helped pave the way for premium card issues which are now prevalent in the hobby.

The 2008 version features inserts such as Triumvirate, Stain Glass, Beam Team, First Day Issue, Photographer’s Proof, the all-new Sketch Card, and a Triple Autograph issue. Among the guarantees according to Topps:

2008 Stadium Club Baseball carries a $25 SRP and ships the last week of October.
