A few of the rare cards issued in Upper Deck's Mystery Dual Cut autograph program have been pulled--with collectors having to make some tough choices.

Approximately two weeks ago, Upper Deck announced a new enhancement to the 2007 MLB Ultimate Collection, 2007 MLB UD Black and 2007 MLB Exquisite Rookie Signature products. Working from a list of cards created by the company, collectors pulling exchange cards from packs would be able to choose their own dual cut autograph card from sports, history and entertainment figures.

Ben M. was the first collector to pull one of the cards from 2007 MLB UD Black at On Deck Sportscards in Lawrenceville, GA. He chose the Marilyn Monroe & John F. Kennedy card after some deliberation. Jim Grant of Peach State Sports Distribution sold the product to the store and said, “Nobody realized what it was right off the bat. Now that these cards are being discovered, it seems to be creating a lot of excitement.”

Erick L. was the second collector to pull one of these prize cards from a pack of 2007 MLB UD Black that he purchased at a card show and selected the Babe Ruth/Roger Maris autograph combo. “I really didn’t realize what I had until I went to the register it and saw the list of cards available. I couldn’t believe it. I spent the whole night thinking about it and actually even dreamt about it.” he said.

Steve O. was the third collector who pulled the cards and he found the decision very difficult before deciding on the John F. Kennedy & Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis card. “After realizing what I had, I had to take the day off from work just to call friends and try to figure it out," he said. "This is the best card I have pulled in 30 plus years of collecting.”
