Donruss-Playoff is set to release it's late-season football issue featuring the year's big-name rookies like Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and Vince Young...and red-hot Tony Romo.
. It's no secret that this year's NFL rookie class is one of the best the hobby has ever seen. Officials at Donruss Playoff revisited the product otherwise known as Prime Signatures and created a set entitled NFL Playoffs.
Of the 150 base cards, 80 will be listed as official Rookie Cards. Names such as Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Matt Leinart, Maurice Jones-Drew, Joseph Addai, Marques Colston and other top RC names will be included as Rookie Cards in each and every box set.
In addition, Romo will likely prove to be a sought-after card. Since the undrafted free agent got the call to start for the Dallas Cowboys, he has taken them to the top of the NFC East. He was just named to the Pro Bowl in his first year as a starter and his 98.4 Passer Rating is second in the NFL. Romo's 2003 Playoff Contenders rookie card has been hot and his 2006 Playoff Contenders card will provide one more card in a market hungry for what is currently a short supply of different Romo cards.
Each box set guarantees a limited edition autograph serial-numbered to 150 or less. Each collectible tin will now also include the entire base set of 150 cards.
Each box set guarantees an autograph and four parallel cards. Each base card will contain a limited edition parallel that features the NFL's official NFL Playoffs logo. Autographs are seeded one per box set and some will contain limited edition game-used versions.
Autographs of NFL superstars like Brett Favre, LaDainian Tomlinson, Peyton Manning and Brian Urlacher will be available. The autograph and parallels will be over-wrapped separately and combined with the 150-card set in a collectible tin.
