ImageAlbert Pujols hit perhaps the Cardinals' biggest home run of the season Wednesday night. Earlier in the day, another 2001 Bowman Chrome Autographed card graded 9.5 sold for a nice price.

The 2001 Bowman Chrome autographed rookie card of Albert Pujols has become one of this decade's most popular cards.

Anyone who has one revels in Pujols' continually amazing accomplishments. Wednesday night's 8th inning, 3-run homer pushed the Cardinals past San Diego 4-2.

As Prince Albert continues his assault on the history books, his toughest rookie card has maintained an explosive popularity among modern card collectors.

Limited to 500 total, a BGS 9.5 graded edition sold for $6950 through eBay Wednesday night.

The sale comes a day after a BGS 9 sold for $3200. Ungraded copies have been selling for $2000-3000.
