Oregon Collector Pulls Rare Set; Sells it |

A Junction City, Oregon man hit the lottery when his purchase of a 2007-08 Donruss NFL Playoffs football set contained something a little better than expected. Then someone just a few miles away made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
The odds are smaller than small when searching for the 1 of 1 cards and sets issued by the likes of Donruss, Topps and Upper Deck, but someone eventually finds the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
In the case of the 2007-08 Donruss Playoffs product, that someone was from Oregon.
Chris Worley walked into his local shop and bought a set. He waited a week, then opened the box and found it contained the Platinum Holo Foil set of 180--every card a 1/1. It was interesting enough to get the attention of the local CBS affiliate, KVAL-TV in Eugene, which can't spell Donruss but does a decent job with the story nonetheless. Watch the video here.
