If you're not a fan of cutting up older game used items, it might make you cry. Topps spends big money each year to acquire game used jerseys and other memorabilia so they can cut it all up and create swatches small enough to fit on special cards for its card products.
Why? Collectors are buying enough unopened boxes to make the investment worthwhile.
The company recently produced a video to show off some of what's stored inside its 'relic room' and offered a look at what pieces are scheduled to be turned into cards:
