Sports card stores live and die with new product--trying to figure out what'll be hot and what won't.

The dizzying array of new trading cards that hit store shelves every year isn't as bad as it was just a couple of years ago.

Some vintage collectors who believe the hobby ain't what it used to be have boycotted newer issues. Luckily for shops, like this one in Utah, there are enough adults who still love to rip packs and chase the elusive rare insert cards.
