In an effort to satisfy the desires of all 15 Florida Marlins fans, eBay sellers flooded the market Wednesday night with Anibal Sanchez cards and memorabilia.
Minutes after the final out was recorded Thursday night, eBay users had scanned and listed rookie cards by the dozens, hoping to cash in on the first no-hitter in the Majors in two years and the first by a rookie since the immortal Cardinal Bud Smith.
One seller offered a full ticket to the game for a price of $100. Another, apparently unfamiliar with sports memorabilia terminology, offered an "unused stub" for $60. Exactly what you'd "use" a stub for, we don't know. He apparently also meant full ticket and earned a measure of forgiveness for a brutally honest assessment of the situation. "The Marlins have horrible fans so few people had tickets to this game," wrote the seller in an attempt to convince buyers of it's scarcity.
