Apparently out of Mantle jersey swatches, the Topps company has now sliced up some of the Mick's old suits to put into some special factory sets.
Here's one that hasn't been done before. The Topps company is selling special "Target exclusive" sets of it's regular issue 2006 baseball card product with a special Mantle card inside. It's a replica of the '52 Topps rookie with a clothing swatch attached--one that Mick wore to some more formal occasions.
Topps purchased some old dress suits and sport shirts at the Mantle estate auction a few years ago and has cut them up for the special factory set issue. Four different cards are available.
The main catch? The sets were only at Target from November 26 to this Saturday, December 2.
