Football cards were solid sellers for sports card shops in 2006, accounting for the largest percentage of sales in five years.

Baseball is still the #1 choice for card collectors, accounting for nearly 43% of all sales according to a recent survey.

CardTrade magazine reports, however, that football cards jumped over 5% from 2005 thanks in large part to a rookie crop that included Vince Young, Reggie Bush and others.
