Memorabilia Dealers Take Bizarre Case to Court

Monday Update:
A Canadian dealer is facing a new lawsuit –this one from a rival who claims character defamation while having sold fake sports memorabilia before.

Long-time Canadian sports memorabilia dealer Derrick Luck is being sued by a customer who says he bought some jerseys advertised as game worn that were actually replicas.

Now, the owners of a store raided by police in 2005 after Luck insisted they were selling bogus Steve Yzerman autographs is also taking him to court. They claim the police raid hurt business and have filed a defamation suit against Luck—and the local cops.

But the latest twist in this bizarre story involves the store owners who are suing Luck.

It seems they’ve been convicted of selling fake autographs before.
