Gaithersburg, MD collector Alan Trost has put together a collection of memorabilia that goes deeper than a simple autograph.
Alan Trost isn’t out to make a fortune or create a collection with which he can finance his retirement. He’d rather gather some personal anecdotes and information from athletes who share his Jewish faith.
An eight-year quest to contact as many living Jewish athletes as he can has resulted in some interesting responses and autographs numbering in the hundreds.
The Gazette has the story and you can read much more in the Spring 2006 edition of Gridiron Greats magazine, which featured Alan’s unique collecting approach.
