We’re not sure what made him think Meat Loaf would be a perfect stage name, but it worked.

The rock singer has spent a few decades cutting records, touring and writing songs and has had his share of smash hits. But he’s a huge sports fan too, known for playing in a host of fantasy leagues and collecting sports memorabilia.

As you might expect, Meat has had the chance to acquire some nice pieces–not necessarily because he’s got a big bankroll. According to the Wall Street Journal, he’s just rubbed shoulders often enough with a lot of well-known athletes.
