McMichael Autograph Appearance Not So Smooth
Former Bear Steve McMichael was a cheap enough autograph guest at a local community festival, but mild chaos ensued anyway.
Steve "Mongo" McMichael probably had plenty of disagreements with offensive linemen while playing his part in the Chicago Bears’ monstrous defense during the mid-1980s.
Over the weekend, his opponent was a trustee for the village of South Elgin.
McMichael was on hand to sign autographs to help the community raise money for some projects but exactly where he was to be stationed seemed to be at the root of a less than pleasant exchange.
Was McMichael out of line or did the village official act like a fool in front of Mr. and Mrs. Mongo and baby? Depends on who you ask, apparently.
The Arlington Daily Herald tries to sort it out.
