McCoy Excited to See Himself on a Football Card

He’ll go down as one of the all-time greats at a school where that’s a real accomplishment.

If you drew up the prototype for a college quarterback, he’d have a role in the mold.  Beloved at Texas, McCoy sat through a long draft weekend before his name was called by the Cleveland Browns.

Even though he wasn’t a top pick, McCoy was still one of the top names in this year’s rookie class and his football cards will be among the hottest when they start hitting the market en masse later this summer.

He’ll definitely get a chance to show what he can do in Cleveland, where they’re desperate for a marquee name quarterback who can win some games.

McCoy should be a treat for collectors too.  A guy who, according to this interview, appreciates seeing himself on a card and takes time to make sure you can read his autograph.
