Mastro Auctions will return from Cleveland’s live sale with a new catalog offering slated for August.

Some highlights from the1,800-lot phone/internet auction which will include Americana items as well, will begin on Monday, August 13 and conclude on Friday, August 31.

This set includes the lone PSA GEM MT 10 specimen graded to date. These colorful pieces, distributed on a one-card-per-pack basis in bags of leafy chewing tobacco, are exceptionally difficult to find in presentable condition. In May 1960, upon learning of one enthusiasts’ love for the Pastime, Mathewson’s wife, Mrs. Jane Mathewson, wrote to him and sent him one of her most prized possessions – a check signed by Christy Mathewson.
