It's 88 pounds of Super Bowl history, photos and in some cases, autographs.

It's a coffee table book, just not the kind of book you actually leave there. It might break your coffee table.

The Super Bowl Opus is a gigantic piece of literature and perhaps the ultimate 'high end' Super Bowl collector's item. Limited in quantity, it's the biggest book on football ever made. There are plain copies, but there are also a limited number which contain the autographs of every living Super Bowl MVP adorning a couple of pages. At $40,000, it's the kind of collectible only those who can afford to go to the game can actually think about buying.

However, if you'd just like to sneak a peek, or find out a little more about the project (there's a new NBA Opus set to hit the market shortly), you can see one on display in southern California. The Palasadian Post got the scoop on how the project came to be.
