Why boil a graded card slab? Because freezing it had no effect, silly.

Ever wonder how airtight those plastic tombs which hold graded cards really are? So did AlteredCards.com's Kevin Saucier.

He was more concerned with whether the holder was tamper evident, but it was more fun to find out whether the card inside could survive a litany of abuse.

He put Beckett's holder to some special tests which included temperature extremes, water, motor oil and other stuff you probably will never allow near your cards, then chronicled the results for us.
