Ironclad Authentics now has a website to administer its new auction platform. The company will be busy in its inaugural year.
Ironclad Authentics, an arm of Ripken Baseball, has launched its new auction platform.
In addition to the daily online auctions, the company will host its first annual Ironclad Legends Auction, a special event designed to celebrate sports and entertainment legends.
The Ironclad Legends Auction will begin during the 2008 Major League Baseball All-Star Fan Fest and run through to the annual Baseball Hall of Fame induction on July 27th. Memorabilia will include a 1943 original Babe Ruth signed NBC contract, a Mickey Mantle/Roger Maris "Safe at Home" original 1 sheet movie poster, a Don Mattingly bronze statue, unique signed items from Lou Gehrig and Cal Ripken Jr. and game used signed jerseys from some of baseball's greats. Select products will be on display in Ironclad's exhibition booth at the MLB All-Star Fan Fest in New York and in Cooperstown, NY during induction weekend.
"We are very excited to expand our reach throughout the memorabilia and collectibles category by launching IroncladAuctions.com" said Ray Schulte, Ironclad Authentics Co-Founder.
"In addition to giving collectors the opportunity to purchase and sell memorabilia on IroncladAuctions.com through events like the Ironclad Legends Auction, we also offer charities and non-profits a no-risk opportunity to meet fundraising goals by developing their own auctions on our platform."
Ironclad was launched in late 2004 to handle Ripken's corporate licensing and is a subsidiary of Ripken Baseball, based in Baltimore.
