Everything must go at Shea Stadium, where the Mets aren't even waiting until the last game is over before cleaning out the closets.

MeiGray group has scored a coup by joining forces with the New York Mets to help sell 2,000 pieces of baseball memorabilia beginning today.

The club is moving out of Shea Stadium after the season and has already begun to pre-sell the ballpark's seats. Now, however, the leftover pieces of history--some no doubt better than others--are headed for the cash register.

The sale begins this morning and includes a wide variety of items.

"Whether it's a turnstile from Gate B, an original brick from the old right-field wall, or one of the colorful photos or banners that have hung proudly for so many years, we have something for everyone," Barry Meisel, president and CEO of the MeiGray Group, said in the statement.

MLB.com's Anthony DiComo has more details.
