Buttons, tags and swatches--and more U.S. Presidents--abound in a fresh-off-the-truck product from Upper Deck. But don't go looking at Target for these.
2008 Upper Deck Ballpark Collection has just hit hobby stores--and that's the only place you'll find it. The product includes three game-used memorabilia cards or one autograph and two game-used memorabilia cards per unopened pack. Upper Deck says many of the memorabilia cards contain multi-swatch versions with some containing as many as eight game-used memorabilia swatches on one card. Every four-pack hobby box will contain a six and eight game-used memorabilia swatch card on average.

Inserts include an MLB Logo Patch card that includes the actual MLB logo from a game-worn jersey of the player featured. MLB Jersey Tag cards feature the jersey manufacturer’s tag on the card while MLB Jersey Button cards have the authentic buttons from the game-used jersey embedded on the card front.

“The exciting part for collectors with 2008 Upper Deck Ballpark Collection is that it is only available in hobby shops and the product is limited,” said Jason Masherah, Upper Deck’s senior brand manager. “That means collectors will have a much better opportunity of pulling some of the more unique inserts like the logo, tag and button cards.”

Also found in the 2008 Upper Deck Ballpark Collection are the Yankee Stadium Legacy insert cards. With Yankee Stadium getting ready to shut its doors for good, these cards celebrate all the history that’s taken place there. Additionally, 2008 Upper Deck Ballpark Collection will be the only baseball release of the year that has the ultra-rare “Moments in Time Dual Cut Signatures” cards of famous personalities tied to Yankee Stadium like Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI who both celebrated mass there.

Buyers of 2008 Upper Deck Ballpark Collection will also be searching for the Signs of History exchange cards. This insert set features an authentic cut autograph of a former U.S. President. The cards have been selling for hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars on-line and at shows.

Five cards are in each pack. Here's a list of boxes and singles currently selling on eBay.
