There were no VCRs in 1956. No TiVo either. Don Larsen and Yogi Berra never saw the NBC-TV broadcast of the only perfect game in World Series history. But thanks to a long-lost copy, they'll re-live it.

The Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center in New Jersey will host a screening of the recorded game as a fundraiser for charities tied to the two players.

Doak Ewing, founder of Rare Sportsfilms Inc., has owned the film about 15 years but didn't publicize its existence until last fall. "This is the first time any players who played in the game have ever seen it," Ewing said.

Only 80 people will be admitted at a cost of $300, which includes autographs from the two players. Fortunately, not only are Berra and Larsen still around, but so is the network announcer who called the game that day.
