Police are seeking an autographed jersey-napper in Iowa. It seems a bandit stole from...the Bandits.

Iowa police are investigating the theft of about $4,700 in sports memorabilia from a display housed in the home ballpark of a St. Louis Cardinals' Class A affiliate.

Police were dispatched to the Woodman Park, home to the Quad Cities River Bandits, last Saturday morning.

The team’s vice president Kirk Goodman, told police he arrived at work about 8 a.m. and went to the stadium’s suite area above the ball park where he noticed shattered glass and five signed baseball jerseys missing from glass cases hanging on the wall.

Among the items taken were a Nolan Ryan Houston Astros jersey, a Bob Gibson St. Louis Cardinals jersey. While the autographed shirts were apparently not game worn, total value of the missing items was listed at $4,700.
