Former Brooklyn Dodger George "Shotgun" Shuba and his son have secured the rights to a photo picturing a handshake that helped break baseball's color barrier.

It happened before Pee Wee Reese put his arm around Jackie Robinson in a display of friendship and solidarity. Robinson was already in the majors then, a Brooklyn Dodger whether some fans and players were ready or not.

This moment, captured by photographers, shows Robinson crossing the plate after hitting his first minor league home run. There to greet him was a man who didn't realize the significance of the moment until much later.
