She's not an experienced fly catcher but Nikki Gianino snared a milestone home run ball--one that means more to baseball than the player who hit it.

For Monroe, Michigan Tigers fan Nikki Gianino, It was unforgettable moment in a forgettable season.

Her team isn't bound for the World Series, but she has a souvenir that might be Hall of Fame worthy. She's been celebrating her improbable grab of Gary Sheffield's grand slam home run earlier this week at Comerica Park. It was the 496th homer for Sheffield--but more importantly, a memorable home run in the history of the game itself.

The Monroe News tracked her down after she'd learned of its significance, but she says she just wanted to have it autographed.
