NEWS FROM THE NATIONAL

FBI and US Postal Service agents continued to enjoy the National Sports Collectors Convention over the weekend.

A lot of dealers and customers didn't know they were there but federal investigators made the floor of the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center a little uneasy for those who knew their purpose.

The FBI and US Postal Service are apparently quite serious about some of the goings-on in the sports memorabilia hobby. While rumors of an investigation have been floating around for awhile, it's now clear that the intent may be more than just a simple fact-finding mission.

High grade sports cards have been part of the focus of the agents' visit to the National Sports Collectors Convention according to a story in Sunday's New York Daily News.

The fact that subpoenas have reportedly been issued doesn't mean anyone is guilty, but it does mean that more questions will be asked--and answers expected.
