A major case of autograph shenanigans has resulted in a 'guilty' verdict for one of the UK's sports memorabilia outlets. And if you thought eBay was a safe place to sell phony stuff, this might put a crimp in your style.
You may not recognize the names if you're a baseball, football, basketball and hockey guy.
But the forged autographs of some big time European soccer stars caused quite a buzz in the British Isles when the extent of the scam was made public. Now, two men are facing sentencing after a jury found them guilty.
The signatures were sold in a brick-and-mortar shop called Sporting Icons and also on eBay.
