You can say it....but can you spell it? Topps did and a former Notre Dame receiver now has a rookie baseball card.
And...Ditka does Donruss in Chicago.
 Two Reds and two Cubs now make up the player checklist for 2008 Topps Finest Baseball Rookie Card Redemption.
Jeff Samardzija, just called up to the Cubs last week, is card #4. The former Notre Dame two-sport star has pitched well thus far, but hopefully he'll have more staying power than some of the other Finest rookies. The group of four now includes Johnny Cueto and Jay Bruce of Cincinnati, plus Samardzija and Kosuke Fukudome of the Cubs.
Each master box of Topps Finest includes one Rookie Redemption. The cards will be printed and shipped after August 30. Ten cards in all will be released.
Donruss says it wil bring Mike Ditka to the National Sports Collectors Convention for free autographs--if you spin the prizewheel at the company's booth and land on the right spot.
200 free autograph coupons will be given out to be exchanged for a Ditka autogr aph on Friday at noon. Ditka will sign an 8" x 10" photograph produced exclusively by Donruss for the event. No other items will be signed and notations will not be allowed.
