An empty stomach may have saved one man's collection.
He'd gone to work and some dead-end kids decided that was the perfect opportunity to break into one California collector's home. But they apparently didn't get up early enough to complete the plundering in time.
Back the man came for lunch where instead of finding a nice quiet house, he found the unwelcome guests trying to wrap up a few nice gifts to themselves.
The caper was captured by the Taft Midway Driller (and yes, that's actually the name of the newspaper). |
