Bonds Record Home Run Ball Going to Hall; Search for 762 Goes On

Plans are in the works for Marc Ecko to turn over Barry Bonds' 756th home run ball to the National Baseball Hall of Fame soon.

The wealthy entrepreneur bought the ball last year and put its fate to an online vote. The options were to blow it up, send it into outer space or put an asterisk on it and give it to the Hall of Fame. Ecko promised the results would stand but there's no official word yet on whether the asterisk is in place, but it sounds like that's a strong likelihood.

Meanwhile, there is still no sign of the ball that will apparently be the last of Bonds' career. #762 was an afterthought, having left the yard in Denver with a few weeks to go in the season.

SCP Auctions sold #755 and 756 and according to the LA Times, is trying to lasso 762 but no dice, even though the most famous home run ball buyer of all-time is ready with a check for $1 million.
