It's possible to run a successful hobby store with a pretty simple formula.

Vintage rookie cards and hundreds of wax boxes and autographed items keep Novato, California's Strike Zone hopping.

The shop's owner celebrates his10th anniversary by keeping up with what's hot and what's not.

"I want to teach everyone the right way to collect and take care of their cards. I don’t want anyone throwing their money away,” John Yon explained.

Even though the Giants and 49ers haven't exactly created a buying frenzy, Yon is still doing a good business by catering to kids as well as adults.

Not bad for a guy who wasn't born in the U.S.
