Wagner BatsJeff Wagner's autographed bats carry two names: the athlete who signed it--and his own--in big, block letters.

Jeff Wagner is pretty good with his hands, so when he saw a display of custom-made baseball bats at a sports card show several years ago, a light went off for this Appleton, Wisconsin collector.

Not one to let a good thought drift away forever, Wagner went home and bought a lathe. His first effort wasn't good, but since then he's created a number of personalized bats. Some are for use on the diamond while others he creates stritcly for adding autographs.

At $40 for a bat made of ash and $50 for the maple version, his prices are reasonable enough. And he's not one who believes only baseball players should sign bats.
