Team Baby Entertainment, a producer of sports-themed children’s DVDs has teamed up with Topps to for a new series of trading cards featuring photos of Major League players when they were tots.

Topps claims it is the first time MLB players have lent their baby photos to be featured on its cards. Fans who purchase MLB themed Team Baby Entertainment titles at Toys R’ Us or Babies R’ Us will receive one limited edition Topps tots card packaged with the DVD.

David Ortiz Topps baby cardThe cards will only be available at Toys R’ Us and Babies R’ Us in limited quantities. In New York, fans who purchase the New York Yankees Baby or the New York Mets Baby DVD will also get the exclusive cards featuring Johnny Damon and David Wright respectively. Fans of the World Series champion Boston Red Sox will get a Topps card with David Ortiz as a “Little Papi” when they purchase the Red Sox Baby DVD. Last but not least, the newest Team Baby title, the LA Dodgers Baby will be released in August and will include a card featuring a baby face Russell Martin.
