A man in Pennsylvania faces a smorgasbord of charges in connection with the robbery of a local dealer. He says he was not the crowbar-weilding attacker.
Police in Williamsport, PA zeroed in on a suspect in the violent attack on a local baseball card dealer late last week.
Sunday night, they found the man they were looking for.
David Baney Jr.
David Baney, Jr. was arrested at a home in the city where the cops found a bag containing some of the vintage cards believed to have been stolen from the Montour Baseball Shop back in March.
The dealer, Ronald Aderhold, had told a harrowing tale of being hit over the head with a crowbar after a man told him to hand over nearly $50,000 in merchandise including several Hall of Famers from the 1950s and 60s and some more modern rookie cards.
Police had no name, only a limited description to go on but tips from the TV station's coverage helped identify Baney as the suspect.
