What walks in is part of the fun at the All-Star appraisal fest.

Hunt Auctions conducted its annual All Star Fan Fest appraisal fair over the weekend at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.

Fans who had pieces of baseball memorabilia stored in their attics, closets and dresser drawers showed up to see what they were worth, with Hunt offering to consign some to future auctions.

As usual, some went away disappointed they weren't holding the equivalent of a lottery ticket but a nice game-used jersey got an approving nod.
