Defaced 2007 Allen & Ginter Fidel Castro autographed cardOne seller's strong feelings about Fidel Castro led to his buying the 2007 Topps Allen & Ginter autographed card. He made some changes that don't exactly flatter Castro's place in history. Now, the card is back on the block with a complete description of what was done to it--and why.

He wouldn't tell us exactly who he is when we contacted him for a story last year, but the eBay seller MarkKali did tell us back then why he was using a 2007 Topps Allen & Ginter Fidel Castro autographed card to express his strong feelings about the ailing Cuban dictator.

Anti-Castro statements and even some cuts and bent corners have been added to symbolize his feelings toward Castro's long reign of power.

The card was pulled by eBay when it was first listed, but the seller has returned, possibly now compliant with the eBay rules and regulations regarding charity auctions which caused a premature end to the first attempt.

He's placed a $2,000 minimum bid on the 1/1 product.

MarkKali, described in a column in the National Review as a 'young Wall Streeter and freedom-lover' as well as a baseball card collector/investor is promising to turn over the proceeds of the auction to the Center for a Free Cuba which has included a letter of support for the auction.
