The Minnesota Twins are selling out to the bare walls! Everything must go!

The Metrodome played host to Minnesota Twins baseball for the better part of three decades but only the Vikings will remain after this month. The Twins are leaving for the new Target Field and the club is having a giant garage sale to take a load off the movers' backs.

This Saturday's event might be one of the biggest ever held by a Major League team. The Twins' vice president of marketing says the sale will include somewhere in the neighborhood of 5,000 items.

A specific list isn't available so fans and collectors who show up will have to wade through dozens of tables to see what's worthwhile. We do know that there will be tons of publications including old game programs--some from the team's World Series games--along with media guides, jerseys, stadium signage, old banners that hung inside the stadium, an on deck circle, some autographed balls and other signed items and plenty of bobble heads and other promotional memorabilia.

The club asked every department to clean out closets, desks and storage areas in preparation for the sale, which is being held from 10 AM to 4 PM in the stadium concourse.

There will no doubt be fans lined up to grab a few bargains (some items are priced at a buck while others could go for $100 or more) but the event does coincide with the first day of deer hunting season in the state of Minnesota which has some buck-loving fans a little riled up over the timing.
