A North Carolina man's collection was more of a family heirloom. That's why he's hoping against all odds his stolen vintage sports cards turn up somewhere.

A few days ago, we brought you the story of Bart Dillow, a North Carolina man who had a large collection of baseball and football cards stolen out of his home while he was at work.

It was no random break-in.

The crooks knew exactly what they were looking for.

Local law enforcement officers have filed reports and checked out the obvious possibilities, but so far, the collection hasn't been located.

Kudos to WRAL-TV, which not only talked with the victim, but treated the loss with respect. Click here to watch their story.
