Wheeling and dealing his way to profit is only part of a community-minded kid's reason for starting his own autograph business.

Getting fake autographs is enough to turn anyone off. For John Schenk, it was inspiration.

The 16 year-old St. Louis area high school student is a lot more careful these days, reaching out in person to acquire autographs for his memorabilia.

Schenk collects signed pieces to keep, but he also flips many of his acquisitions to support his business because a big part of what he does has to do with helping others in the St. Louis area.

His younger sister's need for assistance inspired the Cardinals-loving collector to get serious about his efforts.
