There won't be a big implosion...not while crews work to remove Shea Stadium memorabilia before the ballpark is closed for good.
The Mets have gone home for the winter. The team's employees have already moved to the new offices at CitiField.
All that's left to do is clear the old ballpark out.
The 'dismantling' process is underway after collectors and sentimental fans took their pick of what the club was selling through MeiGray. All is working according to plan...one that's been in place for awhile.
