Ted Patterson's voice is a familiar one to Maryland sports fans. He's also got a nice collection that he'll have more time to work on.
He was a local TV sports anchor. A radio talk show host. A play-by-play man for Navy.
Ted Patterson did pretty much everything a sports broadcaster can do during his 45 years on the air. Now, he's ready to retire.
Life has not been without trials and tribulations, but he marches into retirement with a rolodex full of friends he's met over the years.
Patterson's love of sports extends to an extensive collection of sports memorabilia that spans a couple of centuries. He talked with Kevin Cowherd for this column in the Baltimore Sun. |
