Is being fan-friendly a requirement or not?
The Cleveland Indians are spending their first spring training in a new multi-million dollar complex, located in Goodyear, Arizona. Fans have been complaining that the new place doesn't allow fans to get very close to the players--or even the field--let alone close enough to sign autographs.
What about the players themselves? Many are great signers all season long. Others...not so much.
One letter-writer asks the Houston Chronicle why she can't get Lance Berkman to sign anything. For players, though, it's sometimes a no-win situation.
