Upper Deck's commitment to baseball in 2010 will include fresh Andy Pettite and Mariano Rivera autographs.

Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera earned their fifth Yankees World Series rings this fall. Now the two veteran pitchers have both reached agreements to provide autographs for Upper Deck. They reunite with their teammate and company spokesman Derek Jeter in signing baseball cards exclusively for the company.

ImageBoth players' autographs have been scarce on trading cards. According to Upper Deck. Rivera has had very few signed cards in the market in recent years and Pettitte has not had a signed card in the market since 2005.

The addition of the two Yankees comes not long after Topps became the only MLB licensed provider of baseball cards. Upper Deck insists its baseball presence will be strong beginning with its first release of 2010.

Image“We are thrilled to be able to bring signature cards of these two iconic players to collectors with our 2010 Upper Deck Baseball releases,” said Gabriel Garcia, Upper Deck’s baseball brand manager. “Their achievements are legendary and we know it will mean a lot to bring the New York faithful closer to their heroes. We are also very excited about some of the multi-signed trading cards we will be able to bring to the market with Pettitte, Rivera and Jeter in particular.”
