Not that you ever needed an excuse to visit San Francisco...

Collectors and baseball fans have another five weeks to catch a special exhibit at San Francisco International Airport.

Pacific Coast League: the West Coast’s Major League 1903-1957, highlights baseball’s Pacific Coast League’s (PCL) classic era. 300 pieces of PCL memorabilia and cards are on loan--most from collectors.

The exhibit inclues game-worn uniforms and equipment, vintage scorecards, souvenir items and historic photographs documenting the colorful players, coaches and managers who thrilled crowds from Lane Field in San Diego to Sick’s Seattle Stadium.

The PCL’s primary eight teams are prominently featured: the San Francisco Seals, Oakland Oaks, Los Angeles Angels, Hollywood Stars, Seattle Rainiers, Portland Beavers, San Diego Padres and Sacramento Solons. Pacific Coast League: the West Coast’s Major League 1903-1957 is located pre-security in the International Terminal Main Hall, and is on view twenty-four hours a day through October 30.
