It took less than a week for Donruss Prime Cuts to give up one of its Babe Ruth autographs.
Christmas was great, but a Michigan collector named Tim Tyler got some Santa-like love in the days that followed.
The long-time hobbyist went into his local baseball card shop and with the blessing of an understanding wife, plunked down $200 for a pack of 2008 Donruss Prime Cuts IV. The product had been issued just days earlier.
Tyler had pulled nice cards before, but hit the proverbial jackpot this time. It was news enough for the local paper to offer up a story. Check it out in the Grand Rapids Press.
