The first-come, first-served sale of Shea Stadium memorabilia is over; now it's on to the auction block.

The seats are on their way to the fans who bought them, but there is still plenty more where they came from.

The New York Mets have put a price on virtually anything that sat inside their long-time home. After opening the doors to interested fans and collectors for a pre-sale last month, the club has now set up an online auction. Whatever can be imagined from the halls and exterior of the stadium is available--from photos that hung on the walls to advertising signs from in and around the park to outfield wall panels.

Fans will have the opportunity to bid on a group of select items through Oct. 31. After that, the bidding will close for the month, and a new series of mementos will go on the block for November. This process will continue, with new items becoming available each month, through the end of March, just prior to the team's first game at the new Citi Field.

Among the items available during the October auction are:

• Mounted yearbook photos from several years, including 1965, 1969, 1983 and 2005.

• Wall panels from the outfield, first-base and third-base lines.

• The American flag that flies above the playing field.

• The letter "S" from the Shea Stadium lettering on the outside of the park, near the roof.

More than 50 items are up for grabs with fans already staking some pretty hefty claims to some off-the-wall items.
