Leaf Limited Football=C Note

Panini is hoping football card collectors will spend their high-end love with Leaf Limited.

Panini officially released its 2009 Leaf Limited football issue on Wednesday, hoping a limited production run and autographed content will help spur sales.

With a $100 per pack SRP, Limited is Panini’s first super high-end product of 2009. Company officials say each pack will now include three hits; one autograph card, one memorabilia card and one additional autograph or memorabilia card.

Highlighting the program will be the debut of Pro Bowl Lettermen Materials, Draft Day Materials and Super Bowl Materials. Pro Bowl Lettermen Materials contain the actual nameplates from Pro Bowl jerseys worn by players at the 2009 Pro Bowl. Draft Day Materials feature swatches of memorabilia worn by players attending the 2009 NFL Draft. Super Bowl Material incorporates actual game-worn elements from the Steelers epic win over Arizona in Super Bowl XLIII.

The popular Slideshow insert returns again in 2009 and features actual photographic slides from the 2009 NFL Rookie Premiere. Each is signed on-card and serial-numbered to 50 or less.

Limited Threads Prime will feature game-used jerseys of Hall of Famers Walter Payton, Brett Favre, Dan Marino, Doak Walker, Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Jim Brown, Joe Montana, Joe Namath, John Elway, Sammy Baugh, Barry Sanders, Roger Staubach.
